Maria Constantinides
Hello, I’m Maria Constantinides – yes, I know, it’s quite a mouthful! But don’t worry, my wonderful friend once came to the rescue during her 60th birthday speech by breaking it down like this: Con-stan-tin-knee-des. It made everyone smile, and I’m sure it will help you, too!
Maria Constantinides is a South African filmmaker, carer, and mother based in England. Her work on multiple award-winning major films, documentaries, and TV series (including District 9, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Siege of Jadotville, and many more), has given her first-hand experience caring for superstars, celebrities, and film crew. Working on Madiba, she was grateful to be part of creating awareness for Nelson Mandela’s lifelong fight for justice, equality, and freedom. Maria’s caring work supporting mentally and physically challenged people since the COVID-19 lockdown, compounds with 40+ years of mothering experience, to provide a unique perspective on dealing with traumas through strength, resilience, and inherent kindness.
